Throughout history, body adornment and hairstyles have been at the forefront of human self expression.

Betwixt Gallery is a space dedicated to radical self expression and celebration of identity.

A space for those who don’t conform and don’t fit into boxes, for those who forge their own path.

Safety + Respect are at the forefront of our mission. Everyone who comes to Betwixt Gallery can expect to be safe to express their identity without fear of discrimination or hate.

Betwixt Gallery is committed to reducing their footprint by implementing eco-friendly, sustainable practices whenever possible.

The space is filled with art, cultural artifacts, inviting furniture, calming plants and great music.

who we are

Jackie Rye and Tony Castillo are both mixed race and of Puerto Rican heritage. They are dedicated to creating a space for all individuals to feel seen and celebrated in their unique identity and expression.

With both of them having a diverse cultural background, they enjoy bringing culture to the forefront of their practices in a modern way. Knowing how important it is for individuals to feel seen, heard, and celebrated, they have committed themselves to supporting their clients on their journey of self expression.

Jackie opened Betwixt Gallery in 2020 as a solo tattoo artist and ran a successful practice for years. Tony and Jackie met during 2022 and quickly realized they had found their person. They knew early on that their passions and goals were parallel and they dreamed of combining forces one day in the future. During 2024, they worked together to renovate and rebrand Betwixt Gallery to be what it is today - a combined tattoo and hair salon.
