HOW TO PREPARE FOR YOUR
HAIR APPOINTMENT
Wondering how to style your hair or if you should wash your hair before your appointment ?
No stress - here’s your guide to show how to prepare!
CUTS + TRIMS
Wash and condition hair the day before or morning of the appointment.
Let your hair completely air dry in its natural state without any product.
Avoid blow drying hair and using any styling or conditioning products
*For Curly or Textured hair
Avoid wearing a hat or wearing your hair in a ponytail/bun as it can disrupt your curl pattern . Use minimal amount of styling product that defines natural curl (nothing that will weigh down the hair)
COLOR SERVICES
Wash your hair a day or two before your appointment.
Curly or Textured Hair
Prepare your hair for coloring by using a deep conditioning treatment designed for curly hair.
Avoid washing your hair immediately before your color services as the natural oils will help protect your curls during the chemical process
Straight or Fine Hair
If possible, blow dry hair straight to provide a clean canvas.
Avoid using heavy styling products (gels, mousse or hairspray) as they can create a barrier for the color. Also avoid using a hot styling tool (curling irons or flatirons) before appointment.
what to wear
Above all, make sure you are comfy.
WEAR: Comfortable fitting clothing. Wear neutral colors as they provide a clean background to see the color accurately.
DON’T WEAR: High collars, hoodies, sweaters or anything around the neck as it can get in the way.
Avoid jewelry that could get in the way. Think dangling earrings or chunky necklace.
